Thanks to a meticulous 6-stage heat treatment, the blade achieves a Rockwell hardness rating of 61+/-2, resulting in an impressively sharp edge. Expert bladesmiths meticulously polish and sharpen the knife by hand, while its cutting edge showcases an Asian-style angle of 16 degrees.
